1. Who we are

MisrTech SAE (“MisrTech”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is an Egyptian Joint Stock Company established under Egyptian Law No. 159/1981 and its amendments, with offices in Cairo, Egypt.

This website is https://misrtech.com.

MisrTech is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

Questions about this policy, or requests relating to your personal data, can be sent to info@misrtech.com.

2. Scope

This policy applies to personal data collected through this website, including the contact form, the support request form, cookies and similar technologies, and any related sales or marketing activity carried out through the site.

It does not cover services delivered to customers under a separate contract, where the applicable data terms are set out in that contract.

3. Legal basis for processing

We process personal data under Law No. 151/2020 on the Protection of Personal Data (the “PDPL”) on one or more of the following bases:

  • Your consent, for non-essential cookies and similar technologies, and for any marketing communications you ask to receive.
  • Steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract, or performance of a contract, where you contact us about our services or raise a support request.
  • Compliance with a legal obligation to which MisrTech is subject.
  • Our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the website, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.

4. What we collect

4.1 Information you give us

  • Contact form (/contact-us/): name, email address, mobile number, and the content of your message.
  • Support request form (/support/): name, company, email address, mobile number, the technology domain and priority you select, and the subject and description of your request.
  • Any other information you choose to send us by email.

Both forms carry a separate consent checkbox for the processing of the data you submit. That checkbox is distinct from your cookie choices and is not replaced by the cookie banner.

4.2 Information collected automatically

  • Technical data recorded by our hosting infrastructure and security tooling, including IP address, browser user agent, and the pages requested. This is used for security, abuse prevention and service availability.
  • Cookies and similar technologies, as described in section 5.

4.3 Information we do not collect

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data as defined in the PDPL, and we ask that you do not include such data in a form submission or email. We do not operate comments or any other public posting functionality on this website.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

5.1 Strictly necessary

These are required for the website to function and to stay secure. They cannot be switched off through our consent tool. They are:

  • The session and security cookies set by our website platform.
  • cookieadmin_consent, which records your own cookie preferences so that we do not ask you on every page. It is set by our consent tool and lasts 12 months.

In addition, we use Cloudflare Turnstile on this website, to protect our contact and support forms to distinguish human visitors from automated abuse. Turnstile does not set a cookie on this website. It does process limited technical information about your browser in order to make that assessment, and Cloudflare is named as a recipient in section 6.1.

5.2 Analytics, advertising and other non-essential technologies

We do not currently use any analytics or advertising cookies or technologies on this website.

Our consent tool presents categories for functional, analytical and advertising cookies. Those categories are currently empty. No web analytics platform, advertising pixel, conversion tracker, social media tracking tag or third-party embedded content operates on any page of this website.

If that changes, we will update this policy to name the technology and the company behind it, and we will ask for your consent before it runs. See section 12.

5.3 Consent, and how to withdraw it

Non-essential cookies and similar technologies do not load until you give consent. Until you make a choice, they remain disabled by default. No analytics, advertising, tracking or embedded third-party content of any kind runs on this website, before or after you make a choice, because none is in use. The only third-party service loaded by this website is Cloudflare Turnstile, described in section 5.1, which protects our forms from automated abuse and is classified strictly necessary.

Our consent tool is CookieAdmin, which runs on our own servers. It does not send your consent choice to any third party. We keep a record of consent choices as described in section 8.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, with effect for the future, by clicking the cookie preferences icon displayed on every page of this website, or by clearing this site’s cookies in your browser. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

6. Who receives your data

We do not sell personal data.

6.1 Processors acting on our instructions

  • Our hosting provider, which operates the servers on which this website and its email run.
  • Cloudflare, Inc., for bot and abuse protection on our forms (Turnstile).
  • Our email delivery infrastructure, used to send and receive form notifications and the automatic acknowledgement you receive after submitting a form.

These providers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes, other than as described for Cloudflare in section 7.

6.2 Third-party destinations you choose to visit

Some pages link to third parties operating under their own privacy policies. Following one of these links takes you to a website we do not control. Nothing is sent to any of them unless you click.

  • The Sophos online store, reached through links on our Cyber Security and Partners pages. Those links carry a MisrTech partner referral identifier, which tells Sophos the visit originated from us. Anything you do on the Sophos website is governed by Sophos’s own privacy notice.
  • Google Maps, reached through the “View on Google Maps” button on our contact page. Our contact page itself shows a static map image hosted on our own servers, so no map provider receives anything until you press that button. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors.
  • Our customer support portal, which opens in a new window and is operated on MisrTech’s own infrastructure under this policy.
  • Our social media profiles on Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram, reached through the links in our footer. We do not operate tracking tags from any of those platforms on this website.

6.3 Other disclosures

We may disclose personal data to competent authorities, courts or regulators where we are legally required to do so, and to professional advisers under a duty of confidentiality.

7. International transfers

Some processing takes place outside the Arab Republic of Egypt. Specifically, Cloudflare, Inc. operates a global network and processes the technical data described in section 5.1 outside Egypt, and our hosting and email infrastructure may also be located outside Egypt.

Where personal data is transferred outside Egypt, we rely on the contractual terms offered by those providers, which oblige them to apply an adequate level of protection and to process the data only on our instructions.

We do not transfer personal data collected through this website to any advertising, analytics or data brokerage company, in Egypt or elsewhere.

8. Retention

  • Contact and support enquiries: up to 24 months from the last communication, unless a commercial relationship begins, in which case the contract’s retention terms apply.
  • Consent records: your cookie choice is stored in the cookieadmin_consent cookie on your own device for 12 months. We also keep a server-side log of consent choices, containing an anonymised IP address, for 365 days, after which it is deleted automatically.
  • Server and security logs: retained by our hosting provider for a short operational period for security and troubleshooting purposes.
  • Longer where a legal, tax or regulatory obligation requires it.

9. Your rights

Subject to the conditions and exceptions in the PDPL, you have the right to:

  • be informed about how your personal data is processed;
  • access your personal data;
  • have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
  • request erasure of your data;
  • restrict or object to processing, including objecting to processing for direct marketing;
  • withdraw consent at any time, including your cookie consent, as described in section 5.3;
  • lodge a complaint with the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Centre.

To exercise any of these rights, contact info@misrtech.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will respond within the period required by the PDPL.

10. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption of data in transit over HTTPS, access controls on our systems, and bot protection on our public forms. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data you transmit to us.

11. Children

This website and our services are directed at businesses and professionals. They are not intended for individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact info@misrtech.com and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published at https://misrtech.com/privacy-policy/ and is dated at the top.

In particular, if we introduce web analytics, advertising or any other non-essential technology on this website, we will update this policy to name the technology and the company operating it before that technology runs, and we will ask you for your consent again.

Where any other change materially affects how we process your personal data, we will take reasonable steps to notify you.
